Be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team – join the Students’ Union team!

Do you have a passion for planning and implementing effective change and improvements?

At The University of Law, we’re looking for a Student Advice Coordinator to join our Students Union department on a fixed term basis. You will be pivotal in providing important advice and guidance to students.

                • Providing independent advice and guidance to students on complaints, appeals and disciplinaries, as well as general advice and signposting
                • Preparing and supporting students through academic processes and hearings
                • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with appropriate and relevant external bodies (and internal staff at ULaw)
                • Monitoring trends in data and advice cases to allow for plans to improve outcomes and reduce the number of complaints and disciplinaries
                • Prioritising the students’ needs and desired outcomes

                Is this you?:

We are looking for an empathic and non-judgemental individual, who has a genuine desire to ensure that every student has the best student experience whilst at ULaw.

                • Experience of handling casework, ensuring that records are kept in accordance with industry standards
                • Understanding of the issues affecting students within Higher Education
                • Experience in the delivery of advocacy or representation, able to liaise with and speak on behalf of others
                • Able to work under pressure, unsupervised and on own initiative
                • Commitment to ED&I and upholding the values of the University and Students’ Union

                Why join us?

Along with a starting salary of £28,685 per annum, you’ll enjoy:

                • A generous annual leave entitlement of 30 days (plus bank holidays)
                • Private Medical Scheme and Life Assurance
                • Contributory Pension Scheme
                • Season Ticket Loans and Student Discounts

The closing date for applications is Sunday 8th June (midnight)

In order to be considered for this vacancy, we require all candidates to submit a cover letter along with their application. Any applications received without a cover letter will not be accepted or considered.
