Join our Student Records and Assessments team as a Assessment Manager - Operations
We’re looking for an Assessment Manager – Operations to join our Student Records & Assessment (SR&A) team on a 0.8 FTE basis (28 hours). You will play a key role in delivering high-quality assessment services across our UK and international campuses.
Please note: this is a fixed term maternity cover contract, working on a hybrid basis - remotely and from any UK campus
As part of the Registry, you’ll lead the operational delivery of assessment for the full range of ULaw programmes. Overseeing the full assessment lifecycle from submission and marking to moderation, Award Boards, and results publication, ensuring services run smoothly, reliably, and to a high standard.
You’ll be a proactive and organised manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading people through change. You’ll have proven experience in managing assessment or student data operations and be confident handling complex information with accuracy and care.

As our Assessment Manager – Operations you will:
Lead the assessment operations across a defined portfolio of Schools and programmes.
Manage the full lifecycle of assessment delivery, both digital and in-person.
Ensure compliance with university regulations, OfS/QAA standards, and other quality frameworks.
Lead, develop, and support a team of Senior Assessment Officers and Assessment Officers.
Act as a technical expert for assessment systems (such as Banner), providing guidance and troubleshooting support.
Produce and analyse management information to inform decision-making and process improvement.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, deputising for the Head of Assessment where required.
