Academic Manager
Lead the Future of Professional Education
Are you an experienced solicitor or barrister looking for a rewarding leadership role where you can use your legal expertise to make a lasting impact? At The University of Law, you'll have the opportunity to combine your professional experience with people leadership, helping to develop the next generation of solicitors and barristers in a supportive, collaborative and values-driven environment.
You don't need previous experience in academia to succeed with us. Many of our academic leaders have transitioned from legal practice or commercial legal roles, bringing invaluable real-world insight to our students. If you're considering a career change and are looking for a role with purpose, we'll support you every step of the way with comprehensive training, mentoring and ongoing professional development.
This is a unique opportunity to balance teaching with leadership. You'll spend approximately half of your time delivering teaching within our Vocational Law programmes and the other half leading and supporting a team of academics, currently comprising four lecturers and a small cohort of Visiting Lecturers.
As Academic Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our programmes, fostering an engaging and high-performing academic culture, supporting excellent student outcomes, and building strong relationships with the local legal profession and wider community. Working closely with colleagues across the University, you'll play a key role in maintaining the high standards of legal education for which ULaw is renowned.
If you're passionate about developing people, sharing your legal expertise and making a genuine difference to the future of the profession, we'd love to hear from you.
