People Systems Manager
Are you an experienced HR systems professional with strong reporting and data management expertise? Do you enjoy improving processes, supporting stakeholders and getting the most out of HR technology?
We’re looking for a People Systems Manager (HRIS & Reporting) to join our People & Organisational Development team.
In this role, you’ll lead on the development, maintenance and optimisation of our HR systems, ensuring data integrity, effective reporting and a positive user experience across the organisation. You’ll play a key role in supporting business decision-making through high-quality workforce analytics and management information, while also driving continuous improvement across People systems and processes.
This is a home-based role, with occasional travel to University locations across the UK as required.
As our People Systems Manager, you will:
Manage and maintain HR systems including iTrent and other People-related platforms
Provide day-to-day HRIS support, troubleshooting and guidance to users across the organisation
Develop and deliver workforce reporting, dashboards and analytics for key stakeholders
Produce accurate management information and executive-level reporting
Lead on HR systems upgrades, integrations, testing and continuous improvement activity
Ensure compliance with GDPR, audit and data governance requirements
Monitor and improve data quality through regular audits and data cleansing activity
Support statutory reporting requirements including HESA returns
Collaborate with stakeholders across the University to improve People processes and system functionality
Create and deliver user training and support materials to maximise system utilisation
Act as a key contact for HR systems and reporting queries across the People & OD team
Is this you?
Experience managing and developing HR systems in a complex organisation
Strong reporting and management information experience, with excellent attention to detail
Previous experience using HRIS platforms, iTrent is preferred
Experience using reporting tools such as SAP Business Objects and/or Power BI
Confident analysing and interpreting workforce data to provide meaningful insights
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders
A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a passion for process improvement
Desirable:
Previous experience within Higher Education
Knowledge of HESA staff returns and statutory reporting
