We are recruiting for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer to join our Vocational Team at our brand new Lancaster campus based at Lancaster University, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of legal education at ULaw.

We are open to applications from qualified lawyers (solicitors and barristers) with experience in any areas of law to teach on our SQE and Conversion Courses, both at our Lancaster satellite campus and online. There may also be opportunities to teach on our other courses including the Higher Rights, Bar Practice Course (BPC), Undergraduate Law (LLB) and Academic Masters (AMiL).
This a full time permanent position working 35 hours per week. To support our innovative and student-centred approach to teaching delivery, the role is based on a 35-hour working week but operates on a 5-over-7-day working pattern. This approach offers flexibility in how hours are worked and will include evenings and/or weekends during teaching weeks. Your working pattern will be discussed and agreed collaboratively each term, subject to operational requirements. This will include designated weekday time off when evening and or weekend working is required to promote wellbeing and work-life balance.

As a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer at ULaw, you will:
Deliver high-quality teaching and support for learning, working collaboratively with colleagues to continuously enhance teaching and student support, while assessing student work and progress through the preparation and marking of formative and summative assessments, and providing constructive feedback and feedforward.
Identify the need for developing the content, structure, assessment within modules with colleagues and make proposals on how this should be achieved.
Contribute to effective design and review of inclusive learning. Maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular design.
Act as a module lecturer, academic coach and sign-post students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey.

Do you bring a strong breadth and depth of professional experience within your discipline, with the ability to design and deliver high-quality teaching programmes while providing impactful student support?
Requirements for Lecturer positions:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards
Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE
Requirements for Senior Lecturer positions:
Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA)
PgCHE or equivalent
