Quality Manager
The University of Law is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic quality and providing an outstanding experience for our students. Our Quality Assurance & Academic Standards team plays a vital role in supporting the University’s quality assurance and enhancement framework and ensuring we meet regulatory and sector requirements.
We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join our team, supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of quality assurance processes across the University, including programmes delivered through our partners.
This is a remote role with a requirement for occasional travel between University campuses and to external organisations.
As our Quality Assurance Manager, you will:
Coordinate and support programme and module review, evaluation and monitoring, including provision delivered with partners.
Support the development and implementation of quality assurance and enhancement policies, processes and procedures.
Monitor and report on academic quality and student outcomes risk, supporting a robust risk-based approach to quality assurance.
Service committees, boards and panels, including preparing papers, taking minutes and producing reports.
Support periodic reviews of the University’s programme portfolio and partner arrangements.
Provide expert quality assurance advice and support to colleagues across QAAS and the wider University.
Lead and support projects relating to quality assurance, academic standards and continuous enhancement.
Liaise with relevant external bodies to ensure University provision meets regulatory and sector requirements.
Is this you?:
Significant recent experience working in Higher Education or a similar organisation.
Experience of quality and standards assurance and enhancement within Higher Education.
Experience supporting programme approval, modification and review processes.
Strong experience coordinating and supporting committees and panels, including minute taking and report writing.
Understanding of external regulatory requirements, including the Office for Students, QAA and relevant PSRBs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to different audiences.
Highly organised, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
A proactive, flexible and collaborative approach, with strong problem-solving skills.
