Be the Technical Expert Behind Smarter Finance at ULaw

Are you ready to lead the technical development of financial systems in a high-impact role? At The University of Law, we’re looking for an additional Finance Systems Technical Lead to join our team and drive innovation across our core financial applications – including the Unit4 ERP platform.

Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering reliable, customer-focused solutions that support strategic goals and enhance operational efficiency. If you're a systems expert with strong SQL skills, deep knowledge of Unit4 ERP, and a passion for improving processes, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a 24-month fixed term contract which adopts a hybrid approach with a balance of working from home and from our London Moorgate campus (once every two weeks)

Please note: Occasionally, you may be required onsite during project workshops (in the event of an online setting not being viable).

As our Finance Systems Technical Lead, you will:

                • Lead the technical development, configuration, and support of our finance systems, primarily Unit4 ERP (Agresso).
                • Design, test, and implement system improvements that maximise capabilities and deliver measurable value.
                • Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical advice to stakeholders and training for end users.
                • Manage system upgrades and report development using tools like Excelerator, Information Browser, and SQL.
                • Play a key role in cross-functional projects, auditor support, and system documentation.

                Is this you?:

                • A technical specialist with significant relevant experience in similar or related role in development and administration of large corporate systems mainly Unit4 ERP (Agresso)
                • Proven track record in SQL, system design, and technical support.
                • Experience of Report creation
                • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a customer-first approach.
                • A strong understanding of finance processes and reporting in a complex organisation.
                • Creating and maintaining interfaces between different corporate systems.

                Why join us?

Along with a starting salary between £57,000 to £67,000 per annum you’ll enjoy:

                • A generous annual leave entitlement of 30 days
                • Private Medical Scheme and Life Assurance
                • Contributory Pension Scheme
                • Season Ticket Loans and Student Discounts

The closing date for application is Thursday 19th June.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and we may close the advert early if we receive a high number of applications. To avoid disappointment, we recommend applying at your earliest convenience.
