The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the world's largest law schools. With an impressive history dating back to 1876, we employ over 1,000 staff and have over 14,000 students studying on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, along with an alumni network in excess of 100,000.

With a rich heritage and a reputation for innovation and contemporary teaching practices, we continuously focus on developing the best legal and business minds. In 2016, we opened our leading Business School, further enhancing our reputation as a full service legal, business and educational training specialist, operating from campuses throughout the UK, Berlin and Hong Kong and an Online campus.

We have an exciting opportunity for Student Journey Advisors to join our dynamic Student Journey team.

Working closely with the other Student Journey Advisors, you will be a dedicated contact for an allocated cohort of students for non-academic enquiries, information and advice from pre-enrolment all the way through to successful completion of the student programme. This role will guide and support students through every step of their learning journey, ensuring that each student has the best possible experience and achieves the highest outcomes.

                You will:

                • Act as the first point of contact, providing advice and guidance, identifying solutions and options to ensure student retention and success.
                • Meet with students virtually and respond to enquires via a CRM platform.
                • Arrange one-to-one discussion sessions, for the student to discuss status changes including transfer, intermission and withdrawal to improve retention. Undertake checks and administer the changes to the student record once the change has been approved.
                • Review student engagement and reach out to students to check their progress and identify any required interventions and/or support.
                • Use learner analytics data to identify students at risk of failure and deliver effective intervention strategies in liaison with Academic Coaches and other colleagues.
                • Refer students to other support departments and services.
                • You will have experience of working within a demanding customer service environment, where you were required to have a broad knowledge of a number of different services.  You will have excellent communication skills and experience of being the first point of contact.  You will be able to deal calmly with difficult or sensitive situations and work cooperatively as part of a team.

Interviews will be held w/c 30th June 2025.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Abby Carter- Student Journey Team Leader at abby.carter@law.ac.uk
