We are currently looking for a Team Leader (Admissions Operations & Development) to join our Admissions team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a part time role (30 hours per week).

Salary: £40,200 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)

                The Role

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Admissions, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day workloads of our Admissions Operations Officers, enabling the Admissions Department to deliver a high-quality, efficient service in line with SLAs.

This role sits within the Extended Management Team, acting as the first point of escalation for Admissions Operations and Improvement matters. You will line manage and support Admissions Operations Officers, coordinate admissions IT projects and change requests, and champion process efficiency while ensuring an excellent applicant experience.

You will also play a key role in supporting the implementation of projects affecting admissions processes and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including IT, UCAS, and student recruitment teams.

As a Team Leader at The University of Law, you will:

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Admissions Operations Officers to deliver customer service excellence.

                • Coordinate training, induction, and performance management within the team.
                • Oversee the import and management of applications and ensure accurate and efficient product setup across the University.
                • Develop and monitor data reports to ensure integrity and performance.
                • Take a lead role in admissions IT projects, including user acceptance testing and system releases.
                • Act as a senior process and system expert, supporting continuous improvement across admissions.
                • Provide data analysis reports and operational support for key activities such as Scholarships, Confirmation, and Clearing.

                Is this you?

We are looking for an organised, motivated individual who can inspire and lead a team while ensuring deadlines and service standards are met. You will have strong technical and systems knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive, student-focused approach.

                Essential

                • Graduate level or equivalent experience in a relevant role.
                • Proven experience in line management, team coordination, and delivering to SLAs.
                • Strong knowledge of admissions processes in a higher education environment.
                • Excellent project management, data management, and IT/system liaison skills.
                • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and support colleagues.

                Benefits

On top of a competitive salary of £40,200 per annum (pro rata for part time hours), we provide a generous annual leave entitlement of 35 days plus Bank Holidays (pro rata), and there’s a rewards package that includes:

                • Private Medical Scheme and Life Assurance

                • Training and Qualifications (including Course Sponsorship/Fee Discount)
                • Season Ticket Loans and Student Discounts

At The University of Law, you will work alongside like-minded professionals who are passionate about driving innovation in higher education and delivering successful outcomes for our students.
