This is a fantastic opportunity to enter a well-established and respected department. As our Employability Systems and Information Officer, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of core systems and platforms (principally the Employability Portal, but also ELITE, SharePoint and other platforms used by the Service). As well as supporting system users on a regular basis, you will also be pivotal in the creation, collation and refining of information on our platforms.
As our Employability Systems and Information Officer, you will:
- Provide high levels of support to other users, whether staff, students or external users when using Service systems and platforms.
- Develop a high level of technical skill and knowledge of the Portal to enable the build of workflows and automated processes to support the future delivery needs of the department.
- Support staff in the creation of content, to ensure compliance with best practice and relevant accessibility standards
- Assist in the administration of creating job and event advert requests from employers and recruiters, and updating them as necessary
- Produce usage reports drawn from key systems to help inform departmental planning and decision making
We are looking for people who are/have:
- Experience of working with online platforms used in educational settings – familiarity with the CareerHub system would be desirable
- The ability to understand complex numerical data and use this information to help inform decisions and actions
- Experience of working within an HE and, ideally, an Employability setting
- Excellent IT skills: ability to work with standard software packages (MS Office, especially Word and Excel)
- Positive and flexible with a high degree of commitment to the job
- Commitment to a high standard of customer service
Closing date for applications is 23rd November 2025 at 11:59pm. Interviews are likely to take place w/c 8th December 2025.
