                vacancy Change Communications Lead

Drive engagement and adoption through impactful change communications!

Join us as a Change Communications Lead and play a critical role in supporting the University’s transformation through the introduction of our new student management system. This remote role, with occasional travel to campuses, offers the opportunity to shape how change is experienced and adopted across the University.

Reporting to the Head of Business Transformation, you’ll ensure all colleagues impacted by this programme are informed, engaged, and supported through clear, compelling, and well-timed communications. You’ll collaborate closely with programme, readiness, and subject matter experts to deliver a coherent and effective change journey.

This is a fixed-term role until August 2026.

                What you’ll do:

                • Develop and deliver a comprehensive communication and engagement plan to support the go-live of Banner

                • Identify appropriate communication channels, calendars, publication processes, and tone of voice for key audiences

                • Work with the Business Readiness Manager to identify and manage key stakeholder groups

                • Create engaging and compelling change communications that drive understanding and adoption

                • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify key knowledge required for effective system adoption

                • Work with the Readiness Manager and Programme Manager to identify dependencies that inform communication timing and content

                • Develop toolkits and briefing packs for leaders and project teams to support consistent messaging

                • Produce high-quality communication collateral aligned to the University’s brand and tone of voice

                • Support the delivery of virtual and face-to-face engagement events

                • Measure the effectiveness of communications and engagement activity, adapting plans based on feedback and insight

                Is this you?:

                • Substantial experience delivering change communications and engagement as part of a transformation programme

                • Proven experience working with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation

                • Experience designing and delivering communications in a multi-site, remote-working environment

                • Exceptional knowledge of internal communications best practice, particularly within change and transformation contexts

                • Strong content creation skills across multiple channels (e.g. SharePoint, email, presentations, engagement sessions)

                • Ability to develop and deliver multiple communications and engagement strategies at pace

                • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

                • Strong planning and organisational skills

                Why join us?

Along with a competitive starting salary of £56,000, you’ll enjoy:

                • Generous annual leave entitlement of 30 days

                • Private Medical Scheme and Life Assurance

                • Contributory Pension Scheme

                • Season Ticket Loans and Student Discounts

                • Be part of a diverse and inclusive community

We are committed to ensuring our workforce reflects the diversity of our student population. We actively seek to increase representation across all backgrounds and identities, and we provide support and adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
