                vacancy Social Media Community Executive

Driving engagement through meaningful social interaction

We are looking for a Social Media Community Executive to join our Marketing team, working alongside our Social Media Manager. This is a full-time, fixed term contract for 12 months, working either remotely or on hybrid basis from our Woking Office/London Campuses.

As our Social Media Community Executive, you will be responsible for nurturing followers on our existing social media channels, converting them from audiences to growing communities. You will be acting in a customer service role, monitoring and responding to questions and comments via our social media management software.

This role is an excellent opportunity to work in a sector-leading Higher Education organisation with a real commitment to community engagement and it is ideal for candidates who have exceptional communication skills and an adaptive style to suit different audiences.

As a Social Media Community Executive at The University of Law, you will be:

                • Respond to comments, questions and direct messages across all our social media platforms in a timely, brand-aligned manner
                • Identify and engage in relevant conversations, trends and communities to increase visibility and attract new followers
                • Maintain a consistent brand voice and ensure accurate, helpful responses
                • Participate in social listening activities to understand what audiences are saying and where new engagement opportunities exist, being reactive on any new platforms and channels
                • Proactively build relationships with our prospective students on social media, identifying nano- and micro-influencers and potential advocates for the University
                • Monitor, respond to and report on our public reviews, allowing us to identify trends and common themes for escalation.

                Is this you?:

The successful candidate will have bags of initiative with a problem solver attitude. You will also have/be:

                • Demonstrable experience using all major social media platforms for a business or in a professional setting
                • Deep understanding of youth culture, social media behaviours and what engages Gen Z
                • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask, prioritise workload and manage time effectively
                • A positive, proactive mindset with a passion for online communities and digital culture
                • Bags of initiative with a problem solver attitude.

                Why join us?

Along with a starting salary of £31,267 per annum you’ll enjoy:

                • A generous annual leave entitlement of 30 days (+ bank holidays)
                • Private Medical Scheme and Life Assurance
                • Contributory Pension Scheme
                • Season Ticket Loans and Student Discounts

Be part of a diverse and inclusive community
